bmorebuildings's Issues

archive of neighborhoods

@mpetroff : for future reference, could you archive each neighborhood's worth of data someplace? It would be good for manual verification beyond the QC, just in case.

Mac names

There is a Mac Tavish Lane and a Macbeth lane. I'm not sure how they should be capitalized.

  • Mac Tavish
  • Macbeth

Consider including vacant building attributes

Adding an attribute for buildings that match the vacant buildings could provide some additional data, and help mappers identify vacant properties that the city is working to raze. These buildings may appear in the import, but in reality are razed. Local mappers can verify these conditions on the ground.

Any issue with adding the vacant building attribute?

Street Address Name Mismatches

Not an issue with the import, but rather an issue with the existing street names (usually).

Look at the red dots on this QA tool. The imported data should be considered authoritative. However, local mappers may want to inspect some of these street name signs in the field to verify. Post any issues found here.

Named alleys are bad data

There are a few address points where the street name is an alley. This is probably bad data, and rather than include code to translate the alley names, the source data should be fixed.

Missing addresses along Jamestowne Court, 21229

Missing addresses along Jamestowne Court, Carriage Court, Lantern Court. Also some missing buildings. These townhomes have been around since the 1970s, if not earlier. Just south on Stonecroft Road, missing addresses for apartments and townhomes.
