This bug occurs whenever I try to update a table that has a column that has a foreign key constraint with the NULL value allowed. If I am updating a row which has a foreign-key-constrained field set to NULL, but I am not explicitly updating that field's value, I get a SQL error telling me that the foreign key constraint check failed. The actual generated SQL tries to set the column to an empty string ('') instead of NULL. Explicitly setting the offending column to NULL and then saving works fine.

I updated to the latest versions of APHP and PEAR::DB (1.7.13) just to see if it was because I was using outdated libraries, but still have the same problem.
