sda data files from version V1 lidar (WLS7) works (Header read flawlessly), but the profile variables is different than in the V2 Lidar, therefore needs to be adapted. That means recognizing Lidar version needs to be done by other method rather than the extension file.

V2 non available data is marked as NaN in data files. The library however read and assign them as 0 (zero), leading to some misinterpretation particularly by the speed and standard deviation variables.
