1,000 deaths mean something different if they are in USA or in Luxembourg.

Maybe add an option (radio button) to normalize the numbers against the population of a country?

Add a new dropdown or multiple selector widget where to choose among all the available countries.

The plot resets every time one of the parameters is changed.
Implement stateful plots so that we can change parameters independently.

Since the dataset file name is named after today()'s output, if we reload the dashboard after midnight we won't be able to find the dataset unless we re-download it.

Find a better solution for the file naming.

Currently we either download the dataset every time we reload the page, or we use the cached one (which may be out of date).

Ideally we would re-download the dataset only if we believe there's new data to be added.

This may be implemented by comparing today() with the most recent date appearing in the current dataset. If today()>most recent date and it's say past 8PM, then we can download the new dataset.

Implement a simple model (e.g., Linear Regression) to predict numbers for future cases.

Maybe include a graph with the predicted point and confidence intervals.

1. When plotting only the data after x cases, it would be nice to find the closest number to x, be it larger or smaller. At present we only plot all the data >x
