I'm trying to copy the files that I pull down from s3 into subdirectory of my application. I put the line "cp file /path/to/dir" right below s3simple get "$line" | tar -zx in bin/compile, however this does not work.
I take it that cp is being executed in a different directory. How might I copy from the apps directory?

In the interest of not checking credentials into source control, you could use the user-env-compile Heroku Labs feature and provide S3 credentials via the environment.

(Note: using heroku fork to fork apps does not propagate Labs features at the moment.)
