I appreciate the script but I had to face a couple of problems:

1. with ImageMagick policy on Debian buster. During image conversion, messages like "convert-im6.q16: attempt to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy `PDF'" appear and the script fails with errors. I just moved the file policy.xml located in /etc/ImageMagick-6/ to policy.bak just to remove limitations.
2. Long files names with spaces between words are incorrectly managed, unless spaces are replaced with underscores or other valid chars. Can you modify your script to manage this issue?

Besides, but it's not your fault, the final quality of text is worse than the original (I've seen it for text from TeX files) and the converted file can be 10 times larger than the source.
