marketplace's Issues

Using MySQL logging - Marketplace fails to update

We are running biserver-ce 5.01 on a CentOS box. We are using the default repository, but we have turned on logging in a MySQL database. After turning on logging, we get the following error whenever we try to add, update or delete a marketplace plugin.

2014-03-12 16:54:03,802 ERROR [org.pentaho.di] 2014/03/12 16:54:03 - download_and_install_plugin - ERROR (version 5.0.1-stable.148b6fef6a996547f0a83bc49a869d75ef55b8ca, build 1 from 2013-11-15_14-00-42 by buildguy) : org.pentaho.di.core.exception.KettleJobException:

There is log_job table in the MySql table but it does not have an ID_JOB field.

Install plugin in pentaho server can't handle redirects. Fail 301

Greetings.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Install and execute a Pentaho Server, tested with 8 and above, but might affect older versions
  2. From Pentaho User Console, try to install a plugin that redirects to https, for example Community Text Editor or Saiku Analytics.

According to the logs, can't open the downloaded zip file, but checking at the $PENTAHO_HOME/pentaho-solutions/system/plugin-cache/downloads directory, those files are html like this:

<html>
<head><title>301 Moved Permanently</title></head>
<body bgcolor="white">
<center><h1>301 Moved Permanently</h1></center>
<hr><center>CloudFront</center>
</body>
</html>

I modified the marketplace.xml and hosted in a private apache server by just changing http to https at the package url's from those projects and installs perfectly. Plus, only affects Pentaho Server, PDI it's not affected with this issue.

Defining a local marketplaces.xml

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to use %UserProfile%/.kettle/marketplaces.xml file to point to a marketplace.xml stored on my companies intranet to test a market_entry (and maybe setup a marketplace within the intranet for our custom plugins as access to outside resources is restricted) as listed here: http://wiki.pentaho.com/display/EAI/Marketplace and in the README.md of: https://github.com/pentaho/marketplace-metadata. This process works with Pentaho Kettle 5.4 but doesn't seem to work with 6.0+.

After digging into the release files I found a .cfg file with a variable marketplace.site under Pentaho-installation\data-integration\system\karaf\system\org\pentaho\pentaho-marketplace-di\6.1.0.1-196 and entered the path to my marketplace.xml which didn't work either.

Is it still possible to point to alternative marketplace.xml files? Is so could someone point out what I'm doing wrong? Thank you all for your time!
