What operating system are you using? If windows, we need to change!

we should work in python3 and python3 only.

• make a subdir called paper
• move the .tex file to that subdir with git mv
• don't use a date in the file name. This is git!! The file could be called ms.tex

We must never have a space in a file name. git mv your code to have no spaces. Underscores if you want them.

When we move the spectrum one pixel to the left or right, we are relying on the pixels being separated by a well-defined velocity difference. We need to check that, identify gaps or failures, and fix those.

We should either use FITS or pickle.
