Hi,
I'm getting an address, city and other information about a place from a DB. I need to visualize this place in the google map plugin. I stored these information in PHP variables. I wrote the following line:

{google_map}|width:100%|height:300|zoom:10|lang:it{/google_map}

In this way, I can see the map as a result, but it is not centered on my point and my point has no marker in the map. Basically, it is a default map.
How can I get the desider result?

You can see that the maps show beautifully when you scroll down, but the syntax is also showing - in what looks like another complete version of the table...
Any idea why this might be happening?

Did install the plugin in replacement of the Reumer's one which I remove for good.

The problem I'm facing is Zoom. Applying a value in defauts parameters has no effect -> remains at 14 and putting |zoom:N in the command line stops the map from showing up in the page.

I changed the plugin order to no avail. What should I do next?

Nyt ongelmaksi muodostui erään Helsinkiläisen ravintolan google mapsin osoite. Ei suostu mitenkään päin sitä sinne ottamaan. Onko sinulla vinkkejä tähän. Kokeilin kyseiselle sivustolle, että esimerkiksi oma google mapsin linkki toimii moitteettomasti. Eli voiko tämä ongelma johtua erikoismerkeistä liikkeen google mapsin nimessä?

using the above line of code but the world map is displayed. If I click on view larger map on the top left side you can that the Lat , Lon have been seen by maps as 47.588824%2C+3.116796

Can somebody point in the right direction to fix this . many thanks

I update my Joomla CMS to Version 3.8.5 I use google_map-2.1.0 PHP Version 7.0.27
In this configuration embed-google-map can`t show a google map in a joomla article.
Is there any idea for an adjustment.
With old CMS Version 3.5.4 it runs fine. PHP Version is 5.8 on my local host.

Have successfully used your amazing map plugin many times, but when I try addresses on Calder Avenue Beaumont TX a map of the word is displayed with no 'google marker' showing location.

Nice Google Map plugin but is there a way to disable the map zoom when the mouse is on the map.
When I open a page with a map on a mobile device, once the map is displayed I cannot scroll the page anymore, the map will zoom instead.

I've been using this wonderful plugin on several pages for one of my clients. Current the pages have to be refreshed several times before the pdf appears. Do we know if Google Docs Viewer is having issues?

Great product. I added it to my developmental website and it looks good. My only issue is that when I add the business name and location, the map shows competing businesses:

When I just use the address, it does not show competing businesses:

I want to add the business name without showing the other businesses, is that possible?

I'm using your plugin and it works great. But I was wondering if there is a way to disable scroll on the map when the mouse is out the map, but enable again when the mouse is in the map or you click on the map and, disable it again when the mouse leaves the map.

We are in the process of running very detailed Accessibility Checks, and we were hoping that your plugin would help us around the errors of:

1. Missing Title Attribute
2. Missing Lang Attribute

I know if we manually 'embed' the google map we can put in the 'title' attribute, but we can't figure out how to do this with the Lang.

We are using a google tool, WorldSpace, to test the accessibility of a page that we are loading your map to.

Any ideas how we can add the TITLE and LANG using this plugin?

FYI, I have a Google API key, so I'm using the 'embed option'...

I'm trying to generate a map in the output of a component. when run all I get is:
{google_map}1234 some street, city, state zip{/google_map} not an actual map.
If I type the code into an article the map shows up.

(the above is a fictitious address, a valid one is generated in component)

Does the plugin work in Contacts? I am using a third party contact component called ALFContact. The contact page just shows the syntax. The same syntax produces a map in an Article so I'm guessing that there's an issue with Contacts, or a conflict with this Extension.

Just installed your Embed Google Map in one of my modules. For the time being my website is on Localhost/XAMPP. The map is showing my current location (or the location of my personal Google Account), not the address in {google_map}address-to-be-displayed{/google_map}. Can you tell me why?

we are in the process of optimizing a website using it, and the problem is that because it takes ages to load all gmap ressources (4 sec) the preloader/spinner on the website is still not showing content. our preloader/spinner fades out and reveales the content after "load" event. is it somehow possible to load all content by {google_map} after the "load" event = after the entire page has loaded?
any info/help/idea appreciated!

I recently updated Joomla to the latest version and I suddenly receive the following error:

PHP Deprecated: Methods with the same name as their class will not be constructors in a future version of PHP; embed_google_map has a deprecated constructor in //***/embed_google_map.php on line 21.

After a little googling and some testing I found a fix that helped get rid of the error for me so i thought I'd drop it here just so you could check it out and maybe implement the fix for other users if needed.

All I did was change line 19 in the embed_google_map.php file from:

function __construct(&$subject, $params) {

to

function __construct(& $subject, $params) {

Adding the one space seemed to resolve my issue. Hopefully it helps other people!

Site is Joomla 3.4.1 with Flexicontent and T3 Framework on local host. Plugin is placed within No Number slider and tabs and worked fine, however, a recent change is the maps are not centering correctly i.e. the red marker is in the top left hand corner of the map. When the page is refreshed the marker and page correctly center but not on first load.

I have had this Joomla plugin working fine on my website for the past year. Just recently it has stopping working; the space for the map appears but no map. If you go to this webpage: https://sketchuptraining.com.au/sketchuptraining/courses/sketchup-modelling-essentials.html and click on one of the cities at the bottom of the page, the drop down form should show the venue on google maps; instead it shows a blank space in its place. Happens on both Firefox and Safari but not sure about other browsers. It could be a recent Joomla update causing it.

I have embedded a map that is sized with |width:850|height:550| If i don't use the size it will default to probably about 300 px. I wanted a full width map hence the sizing.

With this "fixed" size when the browsing is done in smaller device such as a mobile phone, the map does not response to the new size ie the map gets cropped.

How can i make it response?

I've been using Reumertech's google map for a while, but it looks like the project is now dead.
He had a setting to make the map 'non panable', remove the zoom, and remove the pin, which I would love to have back.

When using latitude and longitude the default values can be changed just like when using an address. For example:

I installed, activated plugin but {google_map}Sunset Boulevard West Hollywood{/google_map} tag just shows as it is in module. It is not replaced by map. It works in article but does not work in module and template. I placed plugin on end of the content plugin list, it is enabled and public but no results.

I used the Classic Map version along with coordinates (my location is a country property).
Is it possible to change the listed coordinates in the map overlay label to read something other than the latitude and longitude?

Or if it is not possible to change that text, how can I remove that label? I have "Show Info" selected to "No" in the backend.
