tst-bookmarks-subpanel's Issues

Can the Panel and normal Bookmarks shown by default

I really like this addon, but I have an issue.
Every time Firefox starts the panel is collapsed and I have to click on it to open it. After that I have to click on the normal booksmarks to see them all. Is there a way to see them without the two clicks. this would be really nice.

Edit
Can you add a funktion to close a bookmark folder automatically another one opens

Thanks you Frank

Support multiselection

  • Drag and drop of regular selection
  • Drag and drop of partial selection: a folder and its some children (selected items are moved to the dropped location, so partially selected children become siblings of the dropped parent itself under their new parent)
  • Open with "Open All in Tabs" context menu command, if all selected items are regular bookmarks.

Coloring items

Just switched from ffox 56 and this addon is a lifesaver! However I was wondering if a mechanism for coloring the items could be added so the user could mark the most important bookmarks.
Something simple like adding a CSS color name/code to the end of a bookmark name/tag/keyword.

Store container in bookmarks

Thanks a lot for this great add-on. I very much like it!

One thing I noticed: when I store a bookmark tree that contains tabs from different containers (i.e. multi-account container extension), the restoration of the tree doesn't restore the tab's container. It would be great if this extension would store and restore the container.

"The page isn’t redirecting properly" when opening a certain bookmark from the subpanel

I've got a bookmark with a URL in the form http://localhost:8080/service?login=42. Clicking it opens a tab that shows the following:

The page isn’t redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

However, the page opens successfully when pasting the URL in the address bar, or when using the built-in bookmark menu of Firefox.

Handle opening in a new tab when clicking using the mid button

Hello Piroor,

Great plugin, thx for that.

Is it possible to either click using the left click to open a link or click using middle button to open in a new tab ? This is the standard in many web browsers and I use it a lot.

I think you need to check event.button == 1 vs event.button == 0 in the 'mouseup' event in https://github.com/piroor/tst-bookmarks-subpanel/blob/master/panel/panel.js

where 1 is "Auxiliary button pressed, usually the wheel button or the middle button (if present)"

Thx

Add a Dark Mode like TST / Firefox dark mode

I use Dark Mode in Firefox and also as TST option. Seems like TST Bookmarks Panel does not support this, at least, I cannot find an option for. And as it is now it looks strange because there is not even a border setting it apart from the content website:

Any plans to add dark mode?

Support jumping to the item in the full list when it is found through search

It would be great to be able to somehow jump to the item in the full list when it is found through search.

Eg., I know I bookmarked important item near another and I do not remember important item name/domain, but I remember and can find another item. There is no way to see where another item is located in the bookmarks tree.

Support drag & drop

  • Drag & drop of items to rearrange on the subpanel
  • Drag from the subpanel to elsewhere (to open tabs, create links, or others)
  • Drag from anywhere to the subpanel (to create bookmarks): impossible

Support more keyboard navigation

  • Shift-Up/Down (selection)
  • Shift-PageUp/PageDown (selection with page)
  • Shift-Home/End (selection to start/end)
  • Enter (open / toggle open state)
  • Ctrl-Enter (open in tab / toggle open state)
  • Shift-Enter (open in window / toggle open state)

(SUGGESTION) Apply Theme to Bookmarks Subpanel

When using the bookmarks subpanel add-on, the theme for it isn't matching the rest of the sidebar or even the default bookmarks sidebar for that matter. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but I think it would look much better if they matched.

Screenshot_20210228_210448
Notice the top and bottom part of the sidebar are different colors.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install both extensions with something other than the default firefox theme active. I'm also using firefox CSS theming if that matters.

  2. Notice that the bookmarks subpanel (F2) isn't the same color as the rest of the sidebar (colors set in CSS for the base add-on) or the default bookmarks sidebar (the colors set by CSS in my firefox profile folder)

Expected result

One would expect the theme to match up

Actual result

It doesn't match up with either theming source and I'm not sure how to get them to match up.

Environment

  • Platform (OS): Linux - OpenSUSE Tumbleweed
  • Version of Firefox: 85.0.1
  • Version (or revision) of Tree Style Tab: 3.7.2

Bookmarks are always opened as a child of current tab

Since I started using this great addon years ago if I clicked on a bookmark then it was opened in a new tab at the end of the tab list. However recently this behavior changed: bookmarks are opened as the child of the current tab. I tried all the related Firefox settings but none had an effect.

I'm on windows 10 using Firefox 122.0 (64 bit) with TST Bookmarks Subpanel 1.2.7 (2022.11.3)
