Sounds like maybe you forgot to fill out the iOS Setup dialog?

If you set your build to build for Android (go to File | Build Settings, select Android and click Activate Platform), the absence of this file should not be a problem.

and if you are building a cross platform game for iOS and Android...? you have to remove the offending file / settings manually every time? (we use this plug in for Android only and use GC for iOS) --edit-- created new issue here #154
