Er, I've already said that I was replacing the map editor with the map compiler. I'm no longer interested in creating a map editor as the solution I've managed to create doesn't involve any external applications and I believe that's the true way to go through with this process.

the conversation is "archived" so it's stored in our logs. i was repeating past conversations so it's publicly available and will not need to be repeated for future discussions (since it will be easily available to any curious). Again though, your way of doing things has not been criticized.

I still believe multiple tools serve a purpose. My reasoning was i prefer a 3d tool for 3d building/modeling, so i personally will continue to use 3rd party tools. But that's just me, which in no way should affect how we go about making a framework capable of catering to many other characters (people). So either way we choose, nothing has to change. Just as long as we can get something work, so others can enjoy our hard work as well. :)
