Maybe the player's avatar should be in the upper-right corner, instead of having random customers

I'm abandoning the "Creatures in corners" part of this issue, although it is still captured by #789.
If putting creatures in the corners only affected this screen, it would be a small and fun task -- but also a little jarring, since clicking to other screens like the Tutorial/Practice screen which don't introduce screen transitions would make the creatures disappear.
I think ideally, it would be fun if the Main Menu, Tutorial and Practice screens all had a creature in the corner, and if clicking between those screens seamlessly kept the creature there. This would probably be best achieved by having them be subscreens of the main menu similar to how the Settings menu works. This would eliminate loading times on HTML5 and make it trivial to persist the creatures during scene transitions (since the scenes would not transition.) But, overall this just seems like too large of an undertaking for a cosmetic 'nice-to-have'. I think the new fancier UI will look good enough without creatures.
