Currently we provide this through https://github.com/pop-os/appstream-data, which as I understand was a workaround for when this was hosted on a Launchpad PPA.

Apparently for Debian, Dak runs https://github.com/ximion/appstream-generator. We should be able to incorporate that into the repo-release build.

Currently, if we attempt to release a version of a package that CI failed to build, the package is removed from the release repository (this has facilitated issues such as pop-os/cosmic-dock#172.)

In the meantime, we will have to more thoroughly check that every package version being released has successfully built, but ideally, the script would either not offer to release a version that's failed to build, warn at some point if it failed to build, or at the very least, not remove the previous version from the repo just because we tried to release a non-built version.

The build was failing, but this should not happen given kernelstub was still in sync. Did #151 somehow break things?

The version previously available was still in pool, but not dists.

As of #154, this is no longer an issue, but this shouldn't be possible so we should find the root cause.

I noticed in 3af5552 that system-updater was removed. It looks like packages are removed without prompting and without noting the removal in the commit message.
