typora-snap's Issues

No menu in typora

Hi, I am really keen to install fedora in fedora so thanks for creating the snap. However, when I did install it none of the menus showed up. Everything else seemed to be there by there were simply no menus visible. I just tried to install in on a freshly installed fedora 32.

Fonts on open/save dialog

On fedora the dialogues for opening, saving or exporting files ... don't seem to be able to represent the font correctly. I've observed this on both 32 and 33.

I'm not seeing this issue @sirrahn can you try executing these commands in Terminal? Close all apps and execute each command in listed order.

rm ~/snap/typora/common/.cache/fontconfig/*
sudo rm /var/cache/fontconfig/*
rm ~/.cache/fontconfig/*
fc-cache -r

That should clear and recreate font cache files, then open Typora and see if issue persists.

Unable to access /media due to lacking plug permission.

First of all, thank you very much for the snap package.

Short summary

It might be necessary for the removable-media plug to be added to snapcraft.yaml.

Long story

I tried accessing a file on a mounted network drive in /media but was denied permission despite the subfolder being owned by my user and has 755 permission. Other snap applications such as vlc works just fine.

The message in journalctl is

AVC apparmor="DENIED" operation="open" profile="snap.typora.typora" name=HEXENCODEDDIRECTORYTOFILE pid=26654 comm="Typora" requested_mask="r" denied_mask="r" fsuid=1000 ouid=1000

It seems that the typora snap does not have the necessary removable permission to access /media mounts. I tried snap connect typora:removable-media but was alerted error: snap "typora" has no plug named "removable-media".

Unable to write in $HOME/bin/ due to lacking plug permission.

First of all I would like to thank you for providing a Typora Snap package!

Problem description:
Trying to write a file within $HOME/bin/ I got a permission error message: Error: EACCESS: permission denied, open '/home/<user>/bin/readme.md'.
Editing and saving the same file with a different editor works.

It seems to me, that adding the personal-files plug to the snapcraft.yaml and manual connecting this plug may fix this behaviour.
(I tried, but it is not yet supported by the Typora snap.)

Thank you in advance!

Wrong characters on save as dialogue

image

Hello! When I do ctrl-s to save, my dialogue window looks like this screenshot, full of squares. Im using Ubuntu 20.10 with Norwegian (nn_NO) language, Im guessing the language is related to this bug.
