salad_fork's Issues

A/B Motor Question

Does it make any notable difference if I use Nema 14 35STH52 rather than the Nema 14 35STH48 for the A/B Motors?

The 35STH52 has 0.37 N/cm of Holding Torque and the 35STH48 has 0.40 N/cm Holding Torque. Does the 0.03 N/cm difference make a difference?

Dark Mode Manual

While I appreciate the new extensive manual, unfortunately due to my eyesight, I cannot read anything that isn't in Dark Mode. This is why I loved the web manual you had for v1.0 and why I opened the issue about the 404 error with the Docs.

I never liked Dark Mode until I got cataracts, now I can't see anything unless it's in Dark Mode.

v1.0 vs v1.1 Parts and Panels

Are there any differences between the v1.0 and v1.1 parts that would stop the v1.0 panels from working with the v1.1 printed parts?

Just want to verify before I waste my time printing the new v1.1 parts.

Also are there any printed parts that are identical to their v1.0 versions so I don't reprint them?

Access holes for y_endstop

Is it possible to add allen wrench access holes on A_Drive_Frame_Lower_x1.stl for the y_endstop m2x10 screws used on A_Drive_Frame_Upper_x1.stl? I decided to use sensorless homing and wanted to remove the endstop. I had a heck of a time removing the screws after the mount was fully assembled and belted. Thanks in advance either way!

Incorrect links/page numbers in manual table of contents

Hey, thanks so much for this project and putting the manual together! I'm looking forward to rebuilding with 1.1.

Anyway, while perusing through I noticed the table of contents isn't always correct. Here's what I've found that I think should be updated.

  • Klicky Assembly says 122 when it should be 121. The link is correct.
  • Carriage and Belts says 132 and the link goes to 131, when they should be 130.
  • Toolhead says 143 and the link goes to 157, when they should be 142.
  • Skirts says 169 when it should be 168. The link is correct.
  • Electronics says 186 when it should be 185. The link is correct.
  • Panels says 210 when it should be 209. The link is correct.

Thanks again! ๐ŸŽ‰

Minor manual corrections

For accented parts you should put [a] or mention when a part is an accented part when calling out printed parts in the manual.

I spent way too much time looking in my printed parts for the A and B tensioners in my primary color parts bin only to double check my printer logs to make sure I did print them only to see that they were accented parts.

Would make things a lot easier.

DIN mounts dont actually fit under skirt

Even with feet added heatsinks protrude from base of printer so much that you cannot use heatsinks.

This is true for M5P mount and Octopus mount I have not tested spider mount yet
