The line that triggers the error is

area_def, cf_info = load_cf_area('data/onestorm.nc', variable='visible', x='x', y='y')

I'm not sure why our CI testing is not flagging this as failing.

@ThomasMGeo any ideas about a code fix here?

Currently the xESMF notebook throw exceptions at package import and does not run to completion:

ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'ESMF'

It's not clear to me why these errors don't cause a build failure flag, since we have

allow_errors: False

in the config file.

@ThomasMGeo now that this Cookbook is building itself properly, it would be great to get it listed on the Cookbook Gallery for visibility.

You can try clicking the Submit a new Cookbook link on the Gallery page to initiate this! (I'm not 100% sure that al the automation is functional, but we'll see)

New PRs will successfully build the book, e.g. https://github.com/ProjectPythiaCookbooks/gridding-cookbook/actions/runs/3602931956

But no preview appears at the link posted in the PR conversation.
