Pulling out the username into a NixOS configuration variable would be a good start to making it shareable.

Nix channels are cringe. Flakes are the shizzle.

This is more of a TODO. Check out services.redshift and see if it's better than manually calling blucontrol.

The dotfiles module installs everything with no way to stop it. It should be a bit more configurable. Stuff like alacritty should be exposed as a program option. Enabled by default? Yes, but with the option to opt out, and exposing a config override. It isn't very conventional or portable in its current state.
