The new schema introduced in the update-2020
branch includes the following fields to help with identifying jurisdiction associated with each precinct:
- jurisdiction
- jurisdiction_type
- county_name
county_fips
isn't currently included because of name matching issues with some county fields and some ambiguity around assigning FIPS for jurisdictions where the county boundaries have changed over the period covered in the dataset. Closing for now until county names can be updated for all available datasets and a cleaner solution can be identified.
