python-docs-fr's Issues

subprocess.po

Je vais essayer de m'attaquer à subprocess.po et de faire ça rapidement.

I finished every files with a single or two translations.

Errors in itertools.po

There is an English sentence remaining: "elements of seq where pred(elem) is false". This seems weird to me as I've already translated this string.
Also, every time a paragraph is started with " ::" at the end of a line, the leading ":" is missing. It should be " : ::" every time, else the colon will not print.

I'll make a pull request when I can if nobody can fix this quicker than I can.

Use of «» and “” in the introduction

On this page :

https://docs.python.org/fr/3/tutorial/introduction.html#id4

In the side note :

screenshot_2017-12-31_17 32_37

As one can see, tt's written in the side note «» and “” but should be of course " ' since we're talking about the real " and ' characters in the python language.

screenshot_2017-12-31_17 33_21

As one can see, in the main text it's written correctly " and '.

For fixing the bug, I've looked to :

https://github.com/python/python-docs-fr/blob/707f05d2d753fc3836c38b4f1ca0890da7628412/tutorial/introduction.po

And as one can see, the string are correctly written with " and ' so I guess it's the translation process that wrongly replaces to «» “”.

Et le readme??

Il n'y a pas de fichiers po pour le readme, ça serait pas mal un readme traduit, non?

Search and replace thread by *fil d'exécution*

Since in #79 we decided to use fil d'exécution to translated thread, we'll have to search and replace occurrences of thread in the french documentation.

This can be easily done using a command like:

msgcat *.po */*.po | msgattrib --translated | grep --color=always -C5 thread | less -R

Joining the group

Hi everyone,

I'm currently working on discovering GitHub as part of my academical cursus, and would like to do so by participating on your project.
I'll send my first PRs in the next hours, starting with helping on the FAQ translation part.
I hope you'll take it into consideration my changes and eventually give me some short feedback if possible.

BR,
Valerian

gettext.po

Hi!
I'm working on library/gettext.po.

Move scripts from the README to a more usefull place

Having scripts in the README file looked like a nice idea to avoid having a scripts/ folder with a lots of things or a Makefile not makeing anything but aggregating scripts.

But for fish users typically, thoses scripts as string are unusable.

So having a file with a proper shebang would fix this. Or a Makefile.

erreurs de rédaction en français dans tutoriel 4.7.3

Bonjour,

[WIP] "extending" repertory

Starting translating the "extending" directory (building.po , embedding.po & extending.po have already been completed)
=> Working on windows.po , index.po , newtypes.po

sys.po

I'm currently working on library/sys.po.

:meth:`__anext__` missing in glossary.po for glossary.rst:111

While building we're getting this error:

glossary.rst:111: WARNING: inconsistent term references in translated message. original: [':meth:`__aiter__`', ':meth:`__anext__`', ':term:`awaitable`', ':keyword:`async for`', ':meth:`__anext__`', ':exc:`StopAsyncIteration`'], translated: [':meth:`__aiter__`', ':meth:`__anext__`', ':term:`awaitable`', ':keyword:`async for`', ':exc:`StopAsyncIteration`']

meaning the :meth:__anext__ is missing in the translation.

No master branch

During the sprints, a few people had a bug while cloning the repository due to the absence of a master branch, like:

warning: la HEAD distante réfère à une référence non existante, impossible de l'extraire.

or

warning: remote HEAD refers to nonexistent ref, unable to checkout.

Maybe we should just add a master branch? Maybe we should even work on it...

Is there a good french expression for thread ?

Hello,
I'm translating library/random.po and at many occasions it's question of thread programming. I found that it should be translated by 'programmation par fil' but i've never heard it use orally before. In your minds hat is the good direction to follow?
Thanks in advance.
