A GUI for ExifTool
Current version: V6.2.6 updated November 25, 2023. Just a few small fixes. And some typos found when updating the docs. Online documentation available
Previous version: V6.2.5 updated November 12, 2023.
The V6.2.5 release features 2 major changes.
- GeoCoding You can now choose from 2 GeoCoding providers, and use Reverse GeoCoding to lookup Country, Province and City from GPS coordinates.
- Lossless rotate and crop, import and export previews The external programs Jhead and JpegTrans are replaced by native Delphi code, using a modified library NativeJpg by SimDesign B.V. Exporting and Importing previews has been revised.
Besides these 2 updates, some smaller updates/bugfixes were applied. See the ChangeLog for more info.
I have noticed that recently ExifToolGui is downloaded from sites that propagate portable use. Please read Portable use for more info.
Important:
To help Bug hunting there are also Map files released. If you place the Map file in the same directory as the Executable
a stacktrace can be copied to the clipboard if an Exception occurs. Please also provide the stacktrace if you report an Exception.
This is an updated version of the ExifToolGui program created by Bogdan Hrastnik. Many thanks go out to him.
This updated source addresses the following issues.
- Compiles with Delphi Community Edition. Without any 3rd party libraries.
- Added styles.
- Image preview is done with WIC. The autorotate should be available for more formats then just JPG
- The Google Map is replaced by OSM map. The internal browser is now based on Edge, and not on IE.
To achieve this the source had to be modified quite a lot. Dont expect a flawless product.
