In theory a tiny bit of Javascript should allow automatic redirects to https:
var host = "quassy.github.io"
if (window.location.host == host && window.location.protocol != "https:") {
window.location.protocol = "https:"
}
elementary should have a good Git client. Specifically, this one.
You can add it to the wishful thinking page. ๐

I tried to contribute to apps file but after some time I was a bit lost.
Nice looking page and great initiative
First of all, thank you for adding my app! I guess it's not really a bug, but if it's not too much o a bother, would you mind changing the screenshot to the one i used here? :) https://github.com/Philip-Scott/iViewer
Also since first shared the app, i made a github page for it... so if you could also update that it would be awesome!
The current design is crap (more coming later)...
Guess it's because I messed-up lower / upper case. Yet another limitation of Jekyll (for this particular purpose)...
Nor does it's Launchpad page but that's not your fault.
Provide different installation instructions for Luna (still the official version) and Freya or at least state clearly which version the instructions are meant for.

I like Draft. Thought I'd mention it. https://github.com/Coppolaemilio/Draft
Hi,
I find that a majority of the links on Art Page now end in 404
s.
Basically, my idea is to create installation instructions in all apps in the same way it is done here.
I really think that Linux (and elementary OS) lacks a good .epub
reader. Evince (Document Viewer) does a great job of supporting .pdf
files, but it looks like .epub
format is not planned (judging by this source).
sudo apt-get update gives this error for justsomedood PPA.

A lot of apps for Elementary uses this PPA. If it has gone defunct, please provide some alternatives.

When I click the top right nav links, the site is redirected to http protocol.

Please also add Fotini Skoti to authors.(https://github.com/fotinisk) I'm not the only one.
It should link here, but it doesn't at the moment.
I will probably fix it in an hour or two, but I'm creating an issue in case I forget.
EDIT: All of the Twitter links are broken.
Hi,
first of all, congratulations for you're job ;-)
So I've got problem with the audio, it doesn't sound. I use Elementary OS Freya FYI.
It could be possible to set the audio for stop and restart? That would help me.
Thanks in advance
Tried all three & no love.
Cannot add PPA: 'ppa:justsomedood/justsomeelementary'. Please check that the PPA name or format is correct.

the launchpad link for gcleaner comes directs you to https://launchpad.net/https://launchpad.net/gcleaner instead of https://launchpad.net/gcleaner . I tried to fork and fix but the readme.md looks correct.
My addition to the Elementary-apps wishlist:
Is there a developer out there who would fancy reworking the GUI of the Artha dictionary to create an Elementary Artha?
The underlying software provides what I think is the best on or offline dictionary for the Linux desktop. It's just a shame that it doesn't sit well with the Elementary experience. And I know that I might be underestimating the amount of work involved, but it seems to me that you could simplify the interface without too much effort. Perhaps bundling all the preference settings in to a cog wheel at the right. The only other buttons being the two arrows at the left.
Thanks for your time. Here's hoping . . .
Currently, there are 39 apps which all need at least one screenshot.
Hey,
thanks for your nice collection.
Currently I cannot see any update for the released loki and its comptability status.
For some applications there seems to be an ppa, others are never touched since a year or so.
Maybe you can add a flag or monitor the apps in a better way? So you can see how the current maintenance state is?
Hi @quassy,
The Github icon in the footer links to the wrong repository:
It links to: http://github.com/elementarians/apps
Warmly,

I'm using Ubunut 17.04 and followed the install instructions from https://quassy.github.io/elementary-apps/Webby/
On install it doesn't find Webby, any suggestions?

added to the application wishlist.

From collecting the data for elementary apps you realize that developers are spread half-way around the world. It would be nice to have a litte world map marking the different countries, just for fun and looks. Possibly even it will be useful someday (elementary meetup?)...
It should be based upon OSM (atm via Leaflet) and .geojson
Client torrent
Jekyll was intended as a blogging platform, elementary apps is turning more and more into a database / (window shopping) app store / maybe some day review site. elementary apps should be based on a dynamic, interactive, common system to manage content and invite user contributions...
This looks like a good enough app to be included here.
