dsdeaths's Issues

I get "0" but I've definitely died several times.

It seems to run fine, the window comes up and says it detected Dark Souls: Remastered. I close the file and check the .txt and it says "0". Does it still count if I retrieve my souls and stuff?

Edit: I re-read the description, does this only count the deaths that happen while it's running? That's cool too, but you might want to make it a bit more clear for idiots like me lol

CORRUPTS SAVE FILES ON REMASTERED

I didn't realize this program modified the save files in any way. Second's after running it my save file is now corrupted and all game data lost.

"Encountered null pointer." Spam

The moment the game starts, the console starts spamming "Encountered null pointer.".
Tested with Dark Souls 3. I don't know about other games. This moment needs to be changed.

P.S. Death counts correctly on the latest patch.

DS3 update broke counter

It looks like the update that was rolled out on January 12th broke DS3(v1.15.2 / Reg v1.35). I'm assuming it's a busted pointer.

Not working for DS2?

Hi all, sorry for opening this but I'm not sure if it's an issue or not.

I have Dark Souls II (not the scholar version) and my death counter isn't working. The exe detects Dark Souls II when I launch it but then the text file never updates when I continue playing. I'm not sure if this doesn't work for base DS2 or if there is a problem so I was just hoping to confirm.

I see that it's not listed but I'm not sure of the differences for each version.

In case it doesn't work are there any plans to update it? Thanks so much for the software by the way, it was great for my DS1 playthrough!

Doesn't work for Dark Souls 3

After the Dark Souls 3 update, I'm no longer getting the correct number. It's constantly displaying the number 539251853, so I'm assuming it's reading from the wrong memory address.

Read boss HP for more comprehensive death stats

My friend and I are logging deaths in Excel like this (example for Sekiro):

Boss Deaths overall 100-75% boss hp left 74-50% 49-25% 24-5% 1 hit Res used for the kill
Genichiro 25 0 2 9 12 2 3

It's great to visualize progress and to simply give more detail to our stats, so it would be great if this program could also read bosses HP.

I can write the code for making an Excel spreadsheet from the gathered data, and I'll try to implement it for Sekiro or Dark Souls III, but first I need to read a bit more on cheat engine

Elden Ring ver. 1.03.2

It looks like the script doesnt work with ver. 1.03.2 of Elden Ring (Released on 23th March 2022)

No Longer Works on DS Remastered

Doesn't seem to detect deaths or write any files on Dark Souls: Remastered. Tested today. Probably just a patch that changed the address.

Hello!

I was wondering how you were able to get the memory addresses for the deaths, if you could help me out in any way email me at [email protected]

Works only randomly for DS3

Worked a few days ago, currently the counter stays at zero. The game gets detected in the console. Restarting the tracker does nothing.
