Initial report was about crash on metal Arch Linux with fglrx. Now crash is confirmed on Ubuntu under VirtualBox with enabled 3D acceleration, with the very similar stack. So, this is likely an issue with my code, Xlib, xcb or mesa, and isn't about fglrx.

7d5a2c3 moved graphics system on Linux from own X11 classes to new SDL2-based ones. No my code calling XCloseDisplay, no crash :)
