holo-gnome3-theme's Issues

Holo theme causing crashes in Shell 3.4?

I'm getting crashes like this in GNOME Shell: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=728747

It only appears to show up when using the Holo theme (or possibly just when using the user theme extension - I've never used a theme other than Adwaita or Holo ;-)

Is it possible this is a theme bug? Either way, Shell shouldn't crash even if it is a theme problem, but it'd be nice to have this fixed sooner rather than later.

Some suggestions?

  • Put the title in the center of title bar?
  • Dark variant?
  • Better support for "Hide Title When Maximized"?
  • Turn grey when unfocused? (just like Adwaita did in GNOME 3.4)

I believe these help Holo be the best theme for GNOME after Adwaita!

Multiple select in Nautilus

This is a wonderful theme, with one exception. It breaks (for me at least) multiple selection in Nautilus (ctrl-click, shift-click).

Progressbars are not displayed correctly

Progressbars are not displayed correctly, as far as I can tell in any application using them. It can be illustrated in the gnome system monitor, in the hard drive tab. Here is an exemple of the problem with transmission gtk :

http://emericgrange.com/archives/screenshots/bugs/progressbar_2.png (2)
http://emericgrange.com/archives/screenshots/bugs/progressbar_3.png (3)

(1) Obviously the progress bar is blank. (2) If your mouse hover on the progressbar, it seems to be displayed correctly. (3) If you click on it, I'm not sure if the result is as expected ?!

Notification Gnome 3.6.3

Notification seems to be broken in Gnome 3.6.3

$ notify-send hello

It gives no notification bubble at bottom.

Support gnome 3.6

Issue to track gnome 3.6 support.
Should also bring more Holo like stuffs like real look for tabs etc.

Some warning gnome3.6 themes in home .themes folder is broken and theme folder should be checkout in system themes folder

Distorted text on nautilus rename

Another bug while using Nautilus. If you right click a file name and select Rename, the text becomes somewhat unreadable and very difficult to edit, as is the text is (over-)written again with a couple of pixels offset. If images work, here's "before" before and "during editing" editing examples. It's very difficult to see where the cursor is in the "during editing" case.

This distortion does not happen with other themes (e.g. Orion).
