letsgoapp's Issues

11) Thumbs Up / Thumbs Down animation when clicked

Is there an open source library to do this nicely? Can we scale up-and-down the clicked icon using an animation? No explanatory text near the icon. It should look like the corresponding youtube icon.

User model setup

Create the Java code representing a User.

Go on to create this in Parse too.

18) Polish Preferences (See item list) High Priority

  1. Preferences - lots of small things, some already mentioned:
  2. better pickers
  3. “same drop down list for event types”
  4. connect the cost limit filter. Pass through all events that cost that amount or less. Make that clear in the field label by using the phrase “up to”
  5. put a “$” sign on the front of the cost field.
  6. need better explanation/labels of text fields (ASHLEY/PETER to consult)
  7. have lines between each row (perhaps make this look more like several cards).
  8. fix (global Style) buttons

Push Notifications

Provide Push Notifications when a new event shows up in my area. Provide a neat little popup with the push notifications.

Sprint 3 planning

Here are some items to consider for Sprint 3
FEATURES:

  1. Add up/down voting
  2. get Parse ids of friends, not just FB ids (if needed for something)

POLISH:

  1. larger fonts on list details, and intelligent use of margin space, to make this "pop" from the page. Consider a non-black color font color (e.g. dark gray, or something from one of the Android design sites).
  2. icons for every list item, to show the item type. Maybe drop the text item type, maybe not.
  3. better icon for app overall
  4. find better date/time pickers, probably open source, maybe custom list views if we can't find any.
  5. examine all screens for better color/design/layout/spacing/font size, etc.
  6. make sure date/time fields fit in the allotted space.
  7. clarify our search dialog, so it is clearer that these are search fields.
  8. icons for up/down voting

Facebook integration evaluation

Evaluate Facebook's API for exporting a user's list of friends.

I heard today that Facebook only lets you see a list of friends who have actually registered for the app you are using.

If so, see if there is another social site that has a more open policy - Google+ or Twitter, Yahoo, Flickr. (Not linkedin- not a social site).

Login Activity

Evaluate our best approach to user login. (milestone 1)

We want to use credentials from another site (such as FaceBook, but not facebook if it is not favorable for exporting lists of friends).

Parse has good support for logging in to facebook. Does Parse support other social sites.

Deliverable - the answer for this.

Facebook Invite Friends

Invite friends. Friends with the app get notified of event. Friends without the app get an invite to add app.

Application Wireframes

Please review our wireframes (located in the wireframes folder) when you get the chance.

ListView

Create ListView along to work iwth MapView.

10) Style Event Popup on map

Make it slightly narrower than the screen width. Make it look like a card. Improve layout of the information. Use a font (face, weight, style, color, size) styled across the whole App.
