Hi, thanks for developing this - I love it.
Just a quick question, I'm using the following line:
let allAnimals = SwiftyPlistManager.shared.fetchValue(for: "Root", fromPlistWithName: "WildlifeData")
to fetch the entire dictionary of elements, but I am getting the following error message:
WARNING: The Value for key 'Root' does not exist in WildlifeData.plist! Please, check your spelling.
[SwiftyPlistManager] File not written successfully
[SwiftyPlistManager] fileNotWritten
SwiftyPlistManager.shared.addNew() i used this function to save value in plist
SwiftyPlistManager.shared.getValue() used for get the data from plist.
I tried but I'm getting above error kindly do needfully
HI, thank you for the great package. However, I encounter some problems when i try to save the dictionary to plist using the package.
WARNING: You are saving a 'Dictionary<String, Any>' typed value into a '__NSCFDictionary' typed value.
In the same code , i see saving dictionary to the plist with the same type, I wonder what is the issues here.
Thank you
Hello,
nice work you have done! :) I get always a "An Action has been performed..." notification but the PlistManager didn't save any values, but recognized when I'm saving an existing one. Where could the problem be?
Thanks!

Hey,
Thanks for your good repo.
I have a question:
SwiftyPlistManager.shared.addNew
will add new value to a plist with dictionary as a root. In my case I have a plist with array as a root.
How can I add new values to a plist with array as a root?
First of all, great tutorial!
In fact, one of the best and detailed tutorials in helping us get started with using plist files!
I'm trying to use this in my own app, but the problem I have is that my plist files are of type Array
, not Dictionary
.
How would I be able to add a value to the array using SwiftyPlistManager.shared.addNew(dic, key: firstKey, toPlistWithName: dataPlistName)
if there is no associated key?
Hello,
Currently having issues trying to install via Cocoapods. 'pod install' returns the following error: [!] Unable to find a specification for 'SwiftyPlistManager'
Every time I load a date it returns nil, even after a successful save
SwiftyPlistManager.shared.save(freeTrialExpirationDate, forKey: "keyDate", toPlistWithName: "data") { (err) in
if err == nil {
print("Value successfully saved into plist.")
}
}
var d = SwiftyPlistManager.shared.fetchValue(for: "keyDate", fromPlistWithName: "data") as? Date
Hi, I just installed your SwiftyPlistManager pod and tried to write a String data into the desired plist file. I get an error "fileNotWritten", what cause this error? I tried to write String data into String field. The key name is also correct. I only get this description in debug console:
SwiftyPlistManager] File not written successfully
[SwiftyPlistManager] fileNotWritten
[SwiftyPlistManager] An Action has been performed. You can check if it went ok by taking a look at the current content of the 'Others.plist' file:
[SwiftyPlistManager] { "$archiver" = NSKeyedArchiver; "$objects" = ( "$null", "Fran\U00e7ais" ); "$top" = { "Selected Language" = "<CFKeyedArchiverUID 0x1c442b940 [0x1b379e538]>{value = 1}"; }; "$version" = 100000; }
It doesn't explain to me why it shows the "fileNotWritten" error.
Can you help me?
Thank you.
Specs satisfying the SwiftyPlistManager
dependency were found, but they required a higher minimum deployment target.
Can you decrease your development target to iOS 8
Afew hours i ago swiftyplistmanager was fine, it wrote around 13K records to me, but now it returns an error..
my plist is an array of dictionaries and it has around 13919 records, but getting that error
