All I see is a fork of OBS which doesnj't have instructions.

Arch Linux: Stuck in "Initializing OpenGL"

Linux AppImage x64 doesn't work.

Can't interact with Browser Source

I am unable to interact with the browser -- I can't click on anything.

not able to sign in to stream

I have tried a Windows 11, Windows 10, and virtual machine Windows 10 and nothing is working. If you open RPAN Studio, stream, settings, and try to sign it, it will always say "wrong password", I know I'm typing the correct password because I'm signed in on the browser. Also, others users are saying the same thing on r/RPANStudio.

RPAN 26.0.2.0 name still shows 25.0.7.7

This a fresh install of 26.0.2.0 it's still saying that the version is 25.0.7.7

!!Failed loading subreddits!!

Receiving this error when trying to load subreddits {"status": "failure", "status_message": ""}

Tested different users and both available versions.
Streaming from mobile works fine.

nexus mod

rpan-studio (linux AppImage) fails to open after obs-studio v27 update

As the title states, I can no longer open rpan-studio since I updated obs-studio to v27. Is this just coincidence? Any insight appreciated.

appimage run failure with 26.0.2.0 - libgmp

I'm able to run the 25.0.7.7 appimage, but the new one (26.0.2.0) gives me the following failure:

How do I install on arch?

The aur package doesn't have reddit login only stream key, which requires snookey which also doesn't work on arch.

Can't sign in to rpan (windows)

Always says "Login failed, wrong password".
I used the correct password, tried resetting the password anyway, new one still get the error.

Save image location isn't used

I set the preferences to record to a drive with more space.

Settings > Output > Recording > File = D:\Recordings

But the videos are still being recorded to C:\Users\me\Videos

rpan-studio 26.0.2.1 stuck at "Initializing OpenGL..."

As the title says... I'm using Ubuntu 21.10 and nvidia-driver-460, my video card is an NVIDIA RTX 3070.

This problem doesn't happen on my laptop that has an Intel card, so I guess something wrong is happening when rpan-studio is interacting with opengl.

Is there a way to prevent using opengl and starting it without using the GPU?

Feature request: Insufficient comment karma error messaging

I dearly apologize if this violates contribution guidelines, but I thought I'd share my thoughts anyway...

Request: Add more verbose error messaging when the root cause is insufficient comment karma.

Use case: As a user with low comment karma, it was not immediately clear to me how much comment karma is needed before I'm allowed to broadcast. If the current threshold, 250, is a (semi)permanent value, it would be helpful to see this figure in the product, along with my current comment karma.

As an infrequent Reddit commenter, it wasn't clear what comment karma is or where to go in my account profile to review it.

I also noticed that the list of subreddits doesn't even populate unless user has met the comment karma threshold, so it seems this information is known ahead of time before user clicks Start Stream (I'm assuming because user has already signed in under the Stream setting). While this is true, as an example, buttons/text fields could be disabled and warning text could state, "You currently have {{COMMENT_KARMA_VALUE}} comment karma. You will not be able to broadcast until you've met the comment karma threshold, {{COMMENT_KARMA_THRESHOLD}}" or something similar. Links to further reading would be a bonus!

After all, more robust error messaging leads to better user experiences, even if it's not the ideal experience :) Thanks for reading!

No diskimage file in 25.0.7.6 assets.

I was wondering if there were diskimages available for macos in release 25.0.7.6. There are in the previous versions, but not this.

Windows uninstaller does not uninstall the program

The windows uninstaller doesn't remove any significant files from anywhere.

A GUI runs, does a song and dance, and deletes its self and the start launcher.

Besides that, the entire RPAN Studio folder still exists and all executables and all files necessary to run the program are still in tack. The app is still launch-able from the rpan-studio.exe

Exiting RPAN Studio normally causes "RPAN Studio quit unexpectedly." error. MacOS Big Sur 11.4

When I quit RPAN Studio using either the "exit" option, or the MacOS UI exit button, it gives me an error as if it crashed. "RPAN Studio quit unexpectedly."

Pipewire support from upstream

Any chance of pulling in the pipewire patches from the upstream OBS?

Linux users on Wayland need these for desktop and in some cases audio capture

Or will rpan-studio eventually get rebased on the upstream project anyway?

obs-websocket plugin does not seem to be working

Attempted using the obs-websocket plugin by using the release zip file and decompressing it into the RPAN Studio installation folder in C:\Program Files\RPAN Studio but the plugin doesn't seem to be recognized. Not sure why this is the case.

If you make the file and you turn it on in "Private file" you probably made a mistake.

Connect Stream Fails

First time User (both RPAN and OBS)
I just installed the latest release, v.26.0.2.0, and was going through setting up my preferences and generally poking around.

When I attempted to connect RPAN Studio to my reddit account it failes, 20:23:10.847: Reddit: Login failure: {"message": "Forbidden", "error": 403}. Not sure if it is in part to my 2fa or it there is a prerequisite step I am missing.

I have attached a recording of the exact steps for reproduction and my system specs and a copy of the log file for debugging.

RPAN Studio chat does not connect on version 25.0.7.7 Windows

It appears that on the newest version of RPAN Studio, the chat simply never connects. It just has text stating "Connecting to chat..." for the entire stream. This is using the Windows installer for version 25.0.7.7 on a somewhat freshly installed Windows 10 Pro. I only have a single Video Capture Device and Audio Capture Device set up in the scene. My account is connect via the settings.

The chat worked on my last computer, but I believe I may have had version 25.0.7.6.

Browser source does not reroute audio correctly

The Browser source has a "Control audio via OBS" checkbox that is supposed to reroute the browser's audio into an audio source in the mixer instead of through the speakers. In regular OBS, this works as expected.

However, in RPAN Studio, while a "Browser" audio source does appear in the mixer when activating this setting, audio continues to come through the speakers and not through the RPAN Studio mixer. I also found that the audio source does not appear in the "Advanced Audio Properties" window despite appearing in the Audio Mixer panel.

This setting is useful for getting video from sites like https://obs.ninja/.

26.0.2.1 does not properly accumulate granted additional time.

After dozens of streams, some that have hit the front page and awarded several times by the end of the stream, the steam time vs the time left doesn't appear to reflect the additional time granted by viewer awards and up votes. I've seen the time-left indicator change after being awarded time but then that change is reversed within 120 seconds. Validated that the stream actually is forced to end at the end of this time, consequently just about the time the stream timer (the time I've spent streaming) reaching 180 minutes.

"Connect Account" sign in not completing

When I use the "Connect Account" pop out in the "Stream" tab of Settings I cannot log into my account. I've double-checked my username and password, and when I put in the wrong password it tells me. When I put in the correct password, it says "Signing in..." but goes back to the login screen (without saying "Wrong Password" or any other error)

Solution:

Download VCRUNTIME140_1.dll here:

After unzipping, take the .dll fill and drag it into the same directory as the obs64.exe file & run the .exe file again.

This can be done for any missing .dll files
