I've noticed that the node version used here is pretty old, https://github.com/redhat-helloworld-msa/frontend/blob/master/Dockerfile#L1

@rafabene @burrsutter Is there any reason we can't update it to the same one that is in the bonjour app?

The OpenShift application subdomain is hardcoded in the frontend code to *.rhel-cdk.10.1.2.2.xip.io" in:

• Index.html,
• scripts/api-gateway.js,
• scripts/browser-client.js
• scripts/service-chain.js.

It would be nice if the OpenShift URL could be dynamically set using environment variables instead of of hardcoded.

when trying to deploy container crashes with

"sed: couldn't open temporary file ./sedYpwhsC: Permission denied"

Running Minishift with VirtualBox on Mac OSX

The frontend application is having an issue running the sed command since it is trying to write a temporary file to possibly the /tmp directory owned by root. How do I get around this?

In the Dockerfile for the frontend project on line 31 there is a sed command

-e 's|HYSTRIXDASHBOARDURL|'"$HYSTRIXDASHBOARDURL"'|'
-e 's|JAEGERQUERYURL|'"$JAEGERQUERYURL"'|'
&& /bin/bash -c 'npm start'

When deployed to the container it gets this error:

sed: couldn't open temporary file ./sedq2WEJF: Permission denied
