I downloaded the app from my Vera Edge application. It loaded showing Plugin V1.1. I Performed the setting, 1st selecting AmbientWeather. I generated an API key (which I think you are referring to in your entries as Provider Key), then also generated a developer key which you use the term API keys. I validated my Ambient Weather API key here (https://ambientcwop.com/testmyapikey). After restarting the LUUP multiple times, still no data shown.

I then tried Wunderground also regenerating my key but same result, no data.

Not sure if there is any other setups that need to be done. Also, I set the logs to debug but none are shown.

It looks like the version 2.5 OpenWeather API used by this plugin is being shut down in June 2024. I'm receiving email from OpenWeather urging me to switch to their 3.0 API. Is a new version of the plugin possible?

I'm trying to get the weather station plugin to work on a Vera system.

• i added the app plugin thru the interface.
• a device appeared, i entered my key from openweather.org.
• i tried restarting the lua engine, finally rebooted.
• i'm getting "no data"
• i saw one error in the log... "username and password".
• i see nowhere to enter this....
• any advice?

Sorry for the trouble. I am trying to get the outside temperature into a variable to use in one of my scenes (i'm a beginner at Lua)
the lua in the scene does something only if the temp is below a certain temp.
it used to work using the Mios "virtual outdoor temp sensor". that quit working a few days (weeks?) ago. So i thought i'd try your weather station.

NOTE: maybe the key from openweather takes a while to be created? I'll update tomorrow (jan 18 2023)
update: Jan 19. Still no data. All i added was the plugin. Do i need to install something else? I do get the device, and a temperature device (i selected it) but no data to either.

• verified that the API call works as follows:
• using a terminal, sent api call:
  https://api.openweathermap.org/data/2.5/weather?lat=35.365180&lon=-106.640416&appid={with my API key}&units=imperial

Hi Rene,

Is it possible to use multiple providers at the same time on openluup? And how to do that? Can I install the plugin a second time?
