guides's Issues

Adding new console?

I’ve managed to extract achievement data from the log and create a txt document using both locked and unlocked achievements
With date and time stamp next to unlocked achievements.

it also extracts to a json file with data from exophase.

I could convert to loop the log and write a txt specifically looking for achievements unlocked and use time stamps more accurately in the files.

This would only be the original achievements for now until custom ones can be added possibly via patches

so if one can make the right pages I’d be happy to upload data for games and someone convert to retro achievements.

currently been using script via playnite to generate data on game close. In hopes to work with success story but can’t, this way it would add new achievements for everyone in here as well as for the pluggin on playnite

Chocobo Racing (PS1) Storymode 100% Incorrect time.

The correct time for Fantasia to provide enough points for people to hit 100% on story mode is 3:10. Your guide, and most online sources, have it set to 3:15 which will only provide enough points for 98-99% on story mode.

Typo in the "about" section of the repo

A while ago I fixed a typo in the readme.md, changing "A repo/wiki to achievement developers put guides for their achievement sets" to "A repo/wiki for achievement developers to put guides for their achievement sets". However, the ungrammatical original sentence remains in the about section of the repo and is what people see as a description when RAguides are embedded in Discord and the like. If there's a way to issue pull requests for the about section I don't know of it so I'm opening an issue instead.

create a website for guides

I'm working on a website similar to what we have for RADocs, but for the guides we have here.

TODO:

  • adjust the wiki's Sidebar (use RAdocs-wiki as inspiration)
  • ask @luchaos to create the guides subdomain (CNAME here will be guides.retroachievements.org)
  • create an "edit link" similar to what we have in https://retroachievements.org/wiki-edit-redirect.php
  • show to @ViperZang the peculiarities of markdown and how it differs from what we see in the wiki and in site created with mkdocs.

Pokemon Periwinkle - Incorrect Evolutions

Hello!

For the Pokemon Periwinkle guide, it says that a Trade Stone is needed to evolve the trade evolutions (Haunter, Graveler, etc)
https://github.com/RetroAchievements/guides/wiki/Pokemon-Periwinkle-(Game-Boy)

As far as I can tell, that item does not exist in the game. However - they do evolve if you get them to level 36.
I'm not sure how much of the other information might need to be adjusted as well, but anything that mentions a Trade Stone is wrong for sure.
