Hello 👋

Bring back the "send to autoplaylist" from album list (default interface version) so we can create a playlist that will automatically update changes that happens on its source folders/files (with no user interaction at all).
The actual "send to autosend playlist" doesn't work like that and the name of the option itself doesn't make much sense... what does "send to autosend playlist" mean?.. Its confusing... what is "sending to autosend"? to where?
Expected:
Please modify the behavior so a more intuitive action is carried out; create a new playlist with the folder name and make it check its sources and auto update itself if files are deleted/added in said folder.
Actual:
The "send to autosend playlist" option sends files to a "library" named playlist and files are not updated in said playlist if they are removed or added to source folder.
Thanks
Album_list_panel 0.4.0-beta7
I assigned the "double-click action to "send to playlist", but in addition to this, node expands, as if the default action "expand/collapse" is also triggered. Can you fix this?
Thanx.

Investigate performance and possible workarounds (e.g. threading, delay sending to playlist when typing, add zero-width space)
I can't find a way to remove the scrollbar and it really clashes with my layout. It isn't too important of a feature but I notice it every time I open foobar so it would be great to have. I have tried to use components like the panel stack splitter to remove it but it has not worked.
Hi,
I have found the album list panel auto scrolls to the right whenever I select a node with a name longer than the view (even if it's just a few letters). The thing is the behavior is not consistent while navigating the library, since some items force it and others not (it gets a bit tiring for the eyes after a few times).
+blabla
+1.blablabla
+2.blabla
+...
If the album list panel size is approx. equal to the end of the (2) node, then the autoscroll happens when clicking (1) but not (2). Now imagine an entire list with every item being different.
Can this behavior be disabled? The horizontal scroll bar is already disabled, so one would expect that behavior too.
Thanks!
This was not an issue on version 1.0.0. It started after upgrading to v2.0.0-alpha.2 and I verified that it also happens on v2.0.0-alpha.1
Issue: Clicking on any item of the album list has no effect at all, it just highlight the item and right clicking on any item only show the 3 options related to album list panel (View, Filter, Settings).
This picture show what is expected (like on v1.0.0)
This is what what is happening on V2.xxx
OS: Manjaro Linux using Wine 8.15-1 (I know it is officially not supported, but all the previous versions did not have this issue).
The default album list panel allows to select multiple entries (albums, tracks or whatever) by just using shift + left click (everything between highlighted entries), ctrl + left click (individual entries) or the arrow keys (consecutive entries).
I have not found a way to reproduce that behavior on the UI panel, making impossible to select multiple nodes at the same time and sending them to the same playlist.
Is there any config I have missed? Could it be considered for future releases?
Thanks.
I think I can link the problem to the way consecutive keys are handled. For example, if you are at letter A, pressing A and then D will switch to an item like 'Adam'. That's right. But if you then press D again, and there is no such item 'Add..' it throws a sound error.
The problem now is that no matter what you do, jumping pressing letters is disabled after that error! You have to move/use the mouse somewhere on the UI to be able to re-use the feature. That makes quick -searching by letter broken as soon as you don't find an item.
After an error (and maybe a really small timeout), the feature should be reset. i.e. forgetting the previous keys. So if I was at 'Adam', after an error, pressing any key should jump to the first item matching it (without requiring mouse).
In the gif I pressed A, then waited, then D and finally D + a + d. At that point it did not find anything and tried pressing multiple keys. You will notice the list only moves after I moved the mouse.
Populate on initialisation is activated. Console shows always 0s, but the population lasts in total about 2s.

This is a feature found at Library Tree.
At the contextual menu on the list: 'Show now playing'. Clicking on it would make the list jump to the currently playing item (if it's on the current list view).
Hello,
I use "by directory structure" view of Album List Panel only.
And this is actually why I'm using Album List Panel at all.
At least for me it does not save the tree status on exit of foobar.
Meaning if have several folders expanded/opened/selected then closing foobar leads to a reset of this status.
On the next foobar start all are collapsed and nothing is selected.
Is it how it should work? Is there a setting for that somewhere?
Besides, the lack of ability to select multiple folders with ctrl or shift still be the most annoying thing.
Regards
right click is automatically sending the tracks in that folder to the playlist, previous version never did this is there a new option to select to disable this behaviour
In References | Display | Columns UI | Colours and fonts | Colours Album list panel is in mode Global. But the colour of the background of the selected item indicates mode System and not Global.
I think this was reported in the past. When selecting items on the album list, if they are wider than the panel width, the view is displaced to the right automatically which becomes a mess as soon as you have items with mixed width.
The view keeps moving back and forth depending if you use the mouse, the keyboard, the item selected, etc. (see gif, specially at the end, after selecting an item it moves to right and then immediately to the left without selecting any other thing??)
A config option to force view position would be great (if it's a design choice). It produces eye strain when using the list regularly, so it would be really appreciated.
I have 1.3~ TB of music, a total of 170,000~ songs. Unfortunately this causes a lot of lag when I use this component. Especially when I use Directory structure view. The whole application freezes every few seconds.
There is heavy reading on the disk (maxing to 130 MB/s) and high CPU usage (one core is 100%) when I activate this component. Reading data and CPU usage still occurs even when "Populate on initialization" is unchecked.
The freezing or lag do not happen in Default User Interface when I use any kind of view in Album panel.
Component version: 0.3.7
Columns version: 0.3.9.2
Foobar2000 version: 1.3.10
may i ask for a option to disable context menus?
for example i dont use em i use shortcuts only!
When playing track in Album list panel and seeing other folders, show now playing function doesn't work.(Same ELplaylist, Playlist view) All of "Activate now playing", "Show now playing in playlist" doesn't work.
I have checked Auto-send to playlist.
Elole theme solve this problem that Library panel makes "Library Playback", "Library Selection" playlists.
Am I missing something?
On the album panel, pressing the down arrow scrolls to the bottom and the up arrow should do the same to the top.
But it doesn't work (at least on last version), as can be seen on the gif. Only down arrow works fine.
Only while pressing Shift it goes up (selecting the item). Or pressing Ctrl (without selecting it).
Have also recorded the same steps on DUI, which work fine.
Album List Panel with "auto send to playlist" option selected causes auto-hide horizontal splitter to get stuck open when changing nodes in album list panel
Album List Panel : 0.3.7 (the same problem observed with previous version)
Columns UI: 0.4.0 (the same problem observed with previous version)
Foobar2000: 1.3.10
Feature request: The Filter syntax should survive a restart of foobar2000.
