At the main screen, tap the menu button on the top left, then tap Decks. Tap the + button on the top right to create a new deck. Give it a name and tap save. Tap on the deck that you just created and the app will crash.
I created a new deck. When trying to add a new card (with the button "Add Card" from the home-screen), I get the message "No deck selected". Before, I selected a deck.
After upgrading to version 1.7.1 on F-Droid, pressing "Tap to view answer" causes the app to crash. The flash cards being used were created in version 1.6.8. Downgrading solves the issue.
Hello. I'm using Flash Deck to improve my vocabulary in another language. I've created the cards such that the unknown word is the question, and the English translation or definition is the answer. This helps with recognition (e.g., when reading in the other language) but not recall (e.g., when I'm speaking and trying to find the word for "hummingbird"). I'd like to be able to test myself both ways.
It would be great if the Start Test interface had an option to present users with the answer instead of the question, like in the game show Jeopardy. Any interest in adding this feature?
Great app. I was thinking, if you've created a lot of decks over the course of a class and you want to share those decks, i think it would be useful to have a select all/none option when exporting so you don't have to check each box.
When viewing the answer for the first card of a test, the app will sometimes crash. This usually happens the first time opening the app and starting a new test. I've this this happen on 2 android devices.
The user can create infinitely many null decks when creating flash quizzes cards. This bug does not lead to crashes but can produce a very messy interface.
Steps to Reproduce
Open the "A Flash Deck" app.
Create a new Deck and give it any non-blank name.
Save The Deck
Edit this Deck
You can now give it a blank name (Not supposed to)
basically, when my flashcard question notification appear and i enter to answer it and then click the "exit" button, the notification keep showing the flash question notification, but blank. i would like if it just disappears after opening the notification and clicking the "exit" button, because when i see it's icon in my notification bar i think the another question arrived, but not, so i have to every time remove the notification manually. (sorry if you didn't understand me, i'm bad speaking english)
Can we have a way to save decks, so we can modify/add to them really fast? Like a big text document so you can open it on a computer and bulk add cards?
Hi!
I have found this app very useful, and with a very clean look!
If you consider to push the app further, I will suggest you to implement a tex editor when writing cards for math formulas. This is very helpful when studying scientific subjects (similar to anki on linux).
Thank you for your time!
I got this card game called summon the json, python edition. It is basically a combined flash card and card game with python code. Since I don't have enough friends to actually play a game, this app would be great to get some use out it. Since we are talking 60+ cards it would be cumbersome to do them all in the app.
