destinasyon-app's Issues

API requests timing out in serverless function

The serverless function (/api/prompt) is calling OpenAI API, but requests are consistently taking more than a minute, causing the function to time out and return a 504 error. Tried increasing the timeout limit for the function (by using Vercel's free trial ๐Ÿค ), but it's still not working reliably.

Possible solutions:

  1. Find a hosting solution that can handle longer API requests and reliably supports Nextjs app/ directory. Does it exists?
  1. Move the API completely to a server-based architecture. This would involve setting up a separate repository for the API and migrating away from the current serverless setup.

Serverless functions aren't well-suited for long-running tasks so.
