Adding "Add-Type -AssemblyName System.IO.Compression, System.IO.Compression.FileSystem" to line 125 fixes the issue.

The name of the repo to clone in the setup doesn't exist, is this a leftover of some kind?

Hi. I tried this method and everything ran smoothly, up to the boot. When it tried to boot it would return to bootloader all the time. I flashed a past patched boot image, and everything started working again.

I wonder, if the patch script has some options which are not set correctly. Could that be the case? Could that be fixed? Thanks.

It seems that the Download server for the lineage-builds has moved.
The new URI for the latest build is:
https://mirrorbits.lineageos.org/full/hotdog/20230606/lineage-20.0-20230606-nightly-hotdog-signed.zip

The calculation for the download URI in "Get-LineageBuildFile" must therefore be adjusted.

The only thing that was not working was the Get-LineageBuildFile function which found an empty uri for the download of the lineageos build (my device is "apollon" with the latest nightly build). I checked lineageDevice and lineageVersion which were both fine.
Maybe the website changed and the link text is not in the innerText any more? Maybe this could be changed to the href of the link?

Also, wouldn't it be enough to just download the boot image from the given lineageos build instead of the whole build to speed up the process?

Otherwise it worked very well!

With this commit the "update-payload-extractor/extract.py" was dropped which is used in line 139.

This leads to a broken OS.
I had to manually sideload LineageOS and Gapps to get the phone to boot again
