CreateFile return -5

I am able to install the Indirect display driver success and working,but when run ConsoleDriverApplication.exe

Unable to compile due to internal IddCx errors

Hello! First of all, I was very excited when I found this project, because it is exactly what I need for one of my own little projects.

I downloaded the solution and tried to compile it, but I was unable to compile the IndirectDisplay project (in the udmf2 folder), Visual Studio gave the following errors:

Error	C2677	binary '[': no global operator found which takes type '_IDDSTRUCTENUM' (or there is no acceptable conversion)	IndirectDisplay	C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Include\10.0.18362.0\um\iddcx\1.3\IddCx.h	2259

This is weird, because these files aren't even in your project, they are pars of the Windows SDKs.

There were some other things that I had to change in the project settings to eliminate other errors that came before these. These are the changed that I've made:

  • Set the C++ Language Standard (Properties -> General) to c++17
  • Disabled 'Treat warnings as errors' (Properties -> C/C++ -> General)

How can I get the project to compile?

How to create more than one monitor with a non-standard resolution.

I compile your project and installed it.
It’s just proof of concept, but I have two questions for you.

  1. On which version of windows this application works?
  2. Do you need a dummy Kernel Driver to create a new (fake) monitor?
