@KAllan357 berkshelf 3.0.0.beta8 was released earlier this afternoon and should easily remedy your problem.
Berkshelf is going to be broken into multiple gems to further help alleviate this pain. One "common" or "library" gem for applications developers and one "client" gem which contains the berks
binary.

This got much worse on another fresh ruby install today:
ERROR: While executing gem ... (Gem::DependencyError)
Unable to resolve dependencies: motherbrain requires faraday (< 0.9.0); berkshelf requires faraday (~> 0.9.0), ridley (~> 3.0); sawyer requires faraday (< 0.10, ~> 0.8); berkshelf-api-client requires faraday (~> 0.9.0); faraday_middleware requires faraday (< 0.9, >= 0.7.4); ridley-connectors requires ridley (~> 2.5.0); solve requires semverse (~> 1.1), dep_selector (~> 1.0.0.alpha.2)

@KAllan357 the answer to your problem is the first statement in that conflict report.
If you're depending on Ridley 3.0 you'll need to upgrade motherbrain's dependency on Faraday. You'll also need to remove the faraday_middelware gem since it's no longer necessary with Faraday 0.9.0.
