rladies-website's Issues

Social media

Social media should be something like chapters, the info is in the same csv.

List of chapters

For the home page we are listing all the R-Ladies chapters linked to their meetup page.
That list is updated in a starter-kit file.

The ideal thing would be maintain the list in the starter-kit (since it has more information) and generate the one on the website from that directly. That implies, every time a chapter is added the site must be generated again so it includes the new chapter. Does anyone has a more forward method?

Organisers section

Organisers section

Include an organisers section where organisers can find materials for their chapters.

Could have

  • Starter kit
  • How to add the meetup R-Ladies Tag
  • Branding stuff: stickers, roll up and so on.
  • If there's any meetup space available.
  • Who to talk to in case of any doubt.

GitHub Direct Downloads

There are some pages in the website which are subceptible of being an exact copy of a markdown hosted in GitHub, for example, Code of conduct.

There's an script which downloads an exact copy of the material. If the content changes we only need to run this script and the same content will be on the website.

There are so many great articles citing R-Ladies. It would be great to have this section on our website.

Explain why

Add section for R-Ladies abstract review system

Request: Add section for the R-Ladies abstract review system (tweetthread :) )

Subject of the issue

We're developing the abstract review system to help R-Ladies submit to conferences! We'd love to have this info permanently available on the web site.

Explain why

This will further development of individual R-Ladies and help with representation of women at scientific conferences.

Relevant info

  • To volunteer to be an abstract reviewer (anyone welcome), fill out the Google Form at tinyurl.com/rladiesrevs
  • To request feedback on an abstract, contact Jennifer Thompson (jennifer at rladies dot org, @jent103 on Twitter, or @jenniferthompson on RLadies Slack)
  • To publicize an upcoming conference deadline, tweet @RLadiesGlobal!

Sponsors section

Next should be sponsors section which should be easy to develop
