rollsroyce's Introduction

Rolls Royce

Rolls Royce is a minimal and responsive Ghost theme focusing on your content. With smooth and slick javascripts transitions, the experience is elegant and simple - just like the Ghost blogging platform.

Expect updates - this theme is maturing along with Ghost. Feel free to add suggested features.

How to install

  1. Navigate to your Ghost theme directory ghost/content/themes

  2. Clone theme repo using below command git clone https://github.com/roycehaynes/rollsroyce "rollsroyce"

  3. Restart ghost and log into your dashboard

  4. On settings page, select rollsroyce as theme and save.

  5. To make custom changes, go to default.hbs and search for 'TODOs' to add things like twitter handle, google analytics ID, etc. This is a temporary fix to a problem in Ghost v0.4.

Note: Ping me (royce dot haynes at gmail dot.com) if you have any issues.

rollsroyce's Issues

Pagination

Currently, when there are a overflowing number of posts on the home page it only shows the top 10.

Original author credit?

If you're going to use someone else' work, you should really consider thanking them in your readme.md as well, seeing as how you didn't actually design this theme. Nice integration into Ghost, though.

Subtitles

Pardon my stupidity. I ve got no idea how to use this beautiful art-subtitles.

Please, provide me with some instructions.

Upgrading to support 0.4 features

Just thought I'd drop in and post a link to theme developer guide to what changed in Ghost 0.4.

I'm trying to encourage as many theme devs as possible to upgrade to use the {{asset}} helper in particular. Without this change, your theme won't work when Ghost is installed in a subdirectory, and users may encounter caching problems.

Thanks ๐Ÿ‘

Website for demo is not updated

I think you changed your own website. But it seems you still direct user to your website by saying 'See for yourself' for this theme. It needs to be updated.

Code Listings

I like your theme, but it won't work for me because it appears to not handle code listings. Also, bulleted lists don't look good either.

Keep up the good work, tho.

Navigation

Is it possible to use Ghost's Navigation Helper with this theme? If not; how to add About page?
