obsidian-shortcuts-extender's Issues

(Feature Request) change characters entered

it would be quite useful to be able to change the characters entered by this plugin as easily as changing the shortcut keys the plugin uses—as you wrote, English keyboards – especially Apple's – don’t need easier input of the keys this plugin controls, but very much could make good use of assistance with special characters that look like regex characters, but aren’t actually regex, and so would not need to be escaped in certain situations, especially when used in file-names, note-names, and code examples…

the characters I am initially interested in are “⁚”(2-dot punctuation to replace colon) , “⁓”(swung dash to replace tilde), and also “✔︎”(1 heavy check mark) , “ß”(Deutsche ess-zet) , “⸪”(”because”-2 dots over 1) , “⸫”(”therefore”-1 dot over 2) , “⁈”(?+!) , “⁉︎”(!+?) , and “‽’(interrobang)

(feature request) On/Off for group of shortcuts

Hi, thanks for the great plug-in.

I would like to ask for a quality of life upgrade: On/Off menu for certain group of shortcuts. I imagine that it would be helpful in your future updates, too, as you will extend the number of shortcuts covered (some of which will be in in conflict with people's current setup, as there are other plug-ins and the spirit of Obsidian is to be highly-customizable).

My use case:

  • I would like (and in fact is using) to use Alt-[number] for something else (movement between windows panes). So I would like to disable them. Still I like to use Ctrl-[number] for header switching (super useful, thank you).
  • Because of the way you structure the Shortcuts, I think this feature can start as group of hotkeys rather than each individual one.

Thanks,
NA

Insert code block

I really like this plugin, thank you! Having the headers easy to type is very nice.

It would be nice to have a shortcut for an entire code block as well, with the cursor at the end of the top three ticks, so you can write your language right away:

 <foo>

Thanks for the consideration!

Heading shortcuts (eg: Ctl+1) conflict with TAB hotkeys in v0.16.0

Just a heads up, but in 0.16.0 there are tabs now. They come with your typical browser tab hotkeys (ctrl+1,2,3,etc...)

These tab hotkeys conflict w/ this plugin. I started looking at console and stuff thinking the plugin was broken... but its not :).

Not sure if some docs should be created, or defaults changed... but hopefully someone else finds this and is helpful.

Add More typographic support

Could you please add the following typographic support:

  1. – with CNTRL-Minus, — with CNTRL-Shift-Minus.
  2. «» with some behaviour when write in non-latin lang

Shortcuts and Canvas

Hi! Is it possible to make the shortcuts work in the Canvas too? Now they don't work in notes and in notes if you edit them in the Canvas field. Thank you for the convenient plugin.

Few advised enhancement

Hi there if you are still there proceed with this module?
I still have some needs after applying your module, sensing that we may share emic needs, and the possibility you may fulfill the needs.

  1. about changing the level of heading:
based on your implementation of directly changing to a specific level, can I just increase or decrease the level by pressing alt + '+' or any shortcut.
  2. about adjusting the nested structure of headings with its paragraphs jointed.
I always in a case when I plan the headings in the first place but later to be found needed a change of the nested structure.

have you ever run into cases like this or do you sense kind of cases is common around then please note me if you feel any intent.

Add <^> symbol

It will be very kind of you to add symbol ^ (for example, while pressing Alt+6). Thank you!

Спасибо! Очень удобный плагин!
Obsidian развивается - было бы неплохо добавить символ ^ (крышечка), например, при нажатии Alt+6 (цифра шесть).
Еще раз спасибо!

Shortcut for @, $, &

Please add a shortcut option Alt+2 for input @, Alt+4 for input $, Alt+7 for input &.
Would be useful for me and others, I'm sure.
Thanks in advance!

Nitpicky feature request

Also, I can't highlight text and assign a heading level. I seem to recall that it was possible to do before Live Preview was brought in (for insiders) but doesn't seem to work now (if it ever did). Being able to highlight one or multiple lines of text and designate it as heading level X would be grand.

Thanks again for a phenom plugin!

Edit: deleted first request as I see someone already submitted it as a bug

(Feature Request) Apply heading level change to multiple lines at once

Sometimes I'll use multiple text cursors on a number of lines or select those number of lines to give them all the same heading level, but right now with this plugin it only applies to one line. Is it possible to have that feature implemented?

As an example, one of Obsidian's core features is to toggle checklist status which can be done for multiple lines. From another plugin: Hotkeys++, we can toggle ordered and unordered lists for multiple lines.

Markdown headings shortcut using Cmd on Mac

Feature request: I would like to use the shortcut Command-1/2/3 to get the markdown headings, instead of Control-1/2/3 — since I already use this shortcut in other software on Mac (Libreoffice headings, markdown headings in IA Writer). Would that be possible? I have done a quick test by replacing modifiers: ["Ctrl"] with modifiers: ["Cmd"] but that didn't work.
Thanks.
