gsoc's Issues

TransmogrifAI - GSoC

Hello GSoC mentors,

My name is Abhi Jadhav, and I am an undergraduate student at Duke University studying biomedical engineering and computer science. Throughout my studies, I have developed a passion for machine learning and data analysis. What intrigued me about the TransmogrifAI project(s), is the attention toward model interpretability - something I think is lacking in many approaches to ML (very black box prone). Additionally, the hyperparameter optimization theme reminds me of my own struggles with painstakingly trying to fine-tune parameters. I truly believe both of these factors are what contribute to ML being perhaps a bias in the age of the technological elite, something which the TransmogrifAI API can serve to work against. I would love to learn how I can contribute to this open source project and/or chat with a mentor!

Thanks for your time,
Abhi

Number of projects

"Model interpretability/explainability", "Hyperparameter optimization" and "Developer Experience" under transmogrifAI are 3 different projects or just one ?

Proposal Feedback

Would it be possible to get proposal feedback before the deadline? I know there is an option to send a draft, but would that be read by Salesforce GSoC people?

Thanks.

Lightning Design System- Components Choice

I am Sharath, student from India. I am interested in working on the Lightning Design System project- "Create 3 or more Lightning Design System components".
I want to know if I should be proposing the components that are to be developed or if the components will be allocated by the team.
It would also be helpful to know what expectations the mentors have for the candidates interested in this project.

GSoC'21

Hi. I want to contribute to this organisation. I am aiming for GSoC 2021. Though the projects have not been announced yet, I want to start a bit early to get familiar with the tech tools. Someone please guide me from where to begin with.

gsoc 2019

Hey im interested in contributing to transmorgrifAi during gsoc 2019 , how do i get started?? I am not familiar with scala and apache spark

Adding Gitter channels for student queries

Adding Gitter channels for each of the project (I see there's one existing for TransmogrifAI) helps in dealing with student queries. Having a common email ID is definitely not a great idea, because often you receive a lot of redundant queries from students.

If they exist, then we must definitely add the links over here to direct students to the correct place to discussions.

GSoC 2020 project

Hello, I am Ridhish Jain, Full-stack web developer, UG at IIT Dhanbad, India. I am a GSoC aspirant and would love to do GSoC with this organization. I went through the 2019 idea-list and found this project interesting: Design System React
Is this going to be a part of 2020 as well?

Design System React

Hi, my name is Shubham Singh. I love working in react and creating custom component for my personal project also. I would like to contribute in the design system and move forward with it. Could anyone help me how to move forward as this is my first time participating in GSOC.

Thanks
Shubham
