stir-simind-connection's Issues

Note in documentation that there is a maximum number of characters for output filename

Noted an issue where long output filenames aren't saved properly (missing file extensions and missing w1 or w2 indicators). Not sure what maximum number of characters is but e.g.
"cf_phantom_with_simple_lesion_sino_2cmairgap_cw_start180" is too many (56 characters)
"cf_phan_w_lesion_sino_2cmgap_cw_start180" works OK (40 characters)

SIMIND does not flag an issue with this - it runs as normal and e.g. .cor files are produced as normal so it's not obvious until you go to use your projection data.

We should point this out in the documentation file

update .awk file to correct for directory referencing

If SIMIND is run with output specified in a different directory, the header file will include an incomplete path (matching what is entered with the run command). But since the header file and the data file will be in the same directory, this is not required. Can manually delete the excess bit at the start within the header file but it would be better if the .awk file could do this automatically
