Hi and thanks for your great app.
There seems to have a problem with dark themes where the notifications have a white background.

Indeed, we cannot see the buttons as they are probably hard-coded in white! The buttons have however to be here as we have the functionalities working when clicking "randomly" in the white part.

Thanks again, I'm hoping to see that solved in coming versions 😃

i insert a dvd
then
i go to "dvd" in "vlc remote"
"dvd" tab is empty !

vlc display well the dvd menu where you can choose for example language .

if i scan for vlc server and vlc server is installed in MS Windows OS
then
remote for vlc uses the name of the pc and not the ip address

if i scan for vlc server and vlc server is installed in OpenSuse
then
remote for vlc uses the ip address and not the name of the pc

if the ip address of the opensuse pc changes then i must change the settings of remote for vlc

i know by default avahi protocol is activated with opensuse and other linux as ubuntu

please add the compatibility to avahi

There is no option to close the application. When the vlc is closed on the computer, the program keeps trying to connect and fails adding a notification that can't be removed.

Please add a menu option to close the application.

This message instantiates at app launch and won't go away on KitKat. Guessing it's SD card permissions garbage with KitKat, and it's stuck in a loop trying to index a directory it can't see.

hi, although i saw the vlc bug you listed in the README.md, it seems my problem is slightly different.

i'm using v0.7.5 connected to a v2.1.4 vlc (on ubuntu) and i always see a wrong track selected in the playlist, no matter the name.

please tell me, if possible, how i can help further.

For instance, this file name will not load: Akhenaton/Métèque et Mat/Akhenaton - L'americano.mp3 because of the quotation mark in L'americano

When clicking the "Set As Home" button, home directories arent saved per VLC server. Instead they seem to be saved in one location with the latest location always overwriting the previous.

It would be really cool if there was a way to change the default subtitle track. AFAIK there is no way to even remove subtitles from the remote app.
