This is more a feature request. I propose to integrate a wrapping for Orfeo ToolBox applications. If you have comments about the relevance and feasibility of this feature, feel free to share it.

I have seen that images are handled using Gippy.GeoImage, which wraps GDALRasterBands, so it may not be possible to launch processings using filenames.

There needs to be a way to set options on specific bands, which will then be set on the GeoImage when it is opened. Specifically these options would include, but are not limited to the nodata value and the gain and offset for the band.

One approach is to have an Options method for the Scene, which will take in options for bands (and return a Scene) so it can be part of the processing chain.

The current color correction is simply a linear a rescaling of values. Has to be improved to include gamma and saturation adjustments.

Split off the sample data into a new repo, eg sat-testdata so that it can be cloned and used for testing of multiple other repos such as sat-process and gippy.

What's the status of this project? Since latest update is 3 years ago, was it discontinued?
