it doesnt matter how many times i set the video mod i want or if the vid patch
is set
to on or off, it never retains the settings after a reboot. Is this suppose to
happen?

At the moment, the settings for ocarina, video mode and language are not saved.
I'm working on changing this so that global settings will be saved and per-game
settings can also be set which would override the global setting for a
particular game.
