Just as release builds are available, the latest nightly build should be available too. This was requested on Discord.

If the config.yml.example is anything to go by, the config["monitor"]["check_interval"] is too long with 20s, I feel like a 1m or 5m interval is more sensible.

This is mainly due to the limit of REST API calls that can be made. Authorized users of course do have a much higher limit than unauthed, but it is still there.

Currently the script does a simple git pull which does not fetch new tags. This will lead to inconsistent tags if tags are created from multiple script instances

This generally happens when the git log is too long. When we detect an overly long log, we should attempt to link to the log set on Github instead of including it in the body. We could probably have the link all the time and only include the contents when they are short enough to fit within the forum limit (to be determined what that limit is).
