calculator-project's Issues

Unexpected output using the jQuery html method

$("#result").html(add(num1,num2));

The code on line 42 does not output what I expect. I expect it to add the two numbers together, but instead returns a true or false depending if they are in the Fibonnaci sequence.

Input accepts characters after number when performing operator function

The calculator accepts characters that are input after an number has been input. For example, this can be input as an input: 3dfdfa. It will accept this solely as a 3 but it will still accept the characters.

Please see the attached screenshots for a better understanding:

How can we adjust this code section to stop the input of characters:

function isNotANumber(num1,num2){
        if(isNaN(num1) || isNaN(num2)){
            alert("Enter a valid number dummy");
            return false;
        }else if(num1 === null || num2 === null){
            alert("Enter a valid number dummy");
            return false;
        }else{
            return true;
        }
    };

One way to adjust would be to adjust the input types to be solely numbers in the HTML of the page.

e.g.

<input id="inputNum1" class="col-md-6" type="number">
<input id="inputNum2" class="col-md-6" type="number">
