If a sitename or path to the name is to long, the line with the name hides behind the navigation

I have two dokuwiki installations using your template, I just upgraded to the last version (2013-05-10 "Weatherwax") and with the current version of the template the menus became crazy in both versions, in one they don't have the graphical styles, and in the other they are painted vertically.
Could you please give me some points to fix it or help me check if there is an issue with the template.

I attempted to put this template in place on my Binky version Dokuwiki and as soon as I select the template in Configuration Manager and hit save, all pages issue the following:

A fatal error occured during compilation of the CSS files. If you recently installed a new plugin or template it might be broken or you should try disabling it again. [ parse error: failed @ini_header_background:;]

The only plugin I have added is Authad. I did modify a couple colors in lib/tpl/dokuwiki/style.ini and removed the donation link in lib/tpl/dokuwiki/tpl_footer.php.

In Opera 12.02 the navigation-tabs of the first (home-)page, are not in the header but in the content (to low)

Note: After resizing the browser-window, the tabs are in the correct place.

Tried to upgrade to "Ponder Stibbons", but fails with message:
"A Fatal error occured during compilation of the CSS file. If you recently installed a new plugin or template it might be broken and you should try disabling it again. [parse error: failed at '@ini_header_background:;']"

Tried a fresh install with "Ponder Stibbons" and doogies template 2012-10-22, same result.

Fix LESS errors from the upcoming DokuWiki version.

That will most likely mean to drop the support of overwriting the header and tab background, as LESS doesn't support this way of changing variables.
