Hi,

I was looking to install pynini with dependencies in docker. Docker build gives me gcc error when building pynini wheels:

error: command '/opt/rh/devtoolset-9/root/usr/bin/gcc' failed with exit code 1

ERROR: Failed building wheel for pynini

Am I missing something here? Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi, sorry for my belated attempt at integrating this. I just updated the Dockerfile to point to the current versions of OpenFst and Pynini and ran docker build --target=run-tests -t build-pynini-wheels . as per instructions. I get the following weird error in the middle of the process:

/opt/_internal/cpython-3.7.9/bin/python3.7: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypt.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
The command '/bin/sh -c for PYBIN in /opt/python/*/bin; do     "${PYBIN}/pip" install --upgrade pip -r /src/pynini-${PYNINI_VERSION}/requirements.txt     || exit 1; done' returned a non-zero code: 1

I spoke with appropriate people at Google and if you can file the corporate CLA (https://cla.developers.google.com/about/google-corporate) we can proceed to incorporate this.

According to someone, one can strip these SOs. This would probably be a good idea as they're on the order of 150 MB. Does anyone know how to do this in the context of Docker, etc.?
