loyolawebsite's Issues

Epic shizz I have to do

  1. Try and give admission form a glow up
  2. Add images to news and events section
  3. Make my pages responsive

Create Navbar component

Design should be as specified in the Figma doc. If a secondary navbar is made, the design can vary.

Additional content to be put up

About

  1. founder
  2. History
  3. Management (remove from dept and add new page)

Potential newpages linked via nav or support and assistance icons on home page

  1. student achievements
  2. staff achievements
  3. anti ragging cell
  4. counselling
  5. library *
  6. content in results page
  7. sports?

Adelicia sprint tasks

  1. About University to about college
  2. Add college blueprint pictures to the about page backgrounds
  3. Add missing links (library, sports, student and staff achievements) to where ever appropriate

Navigation to the new pages

we lack ways to navigate to the following pages

  1. student achievements
  2. staff achievements
  3. new library page
  4. new sports page

also need to make the buttons in support and assistance section of the home screen obviously clickable

Restructure components and pages, to follow Next.js best practices.

Issues

1 - components contains content that should ideally be in pages, this needs to be restructured.
2 - styles is being unused, shift individual stylesheets to styles instead of separate sub-component directories.
3 - Use pages for routing, i.e., create directories for each page instead of separate sub-component directories in components.

Styling should be added to every page, starting from the landing page.

The website has an inconsistent overall style & colour scheme.

Styling suggestions:

  • A uniform colour scheme for all pages (originally red, blue, and white).
  • Font changes. Most pages have default fonts, which are quite bland.
  • Add clear sectioning, and styles to display important sections/content (borders, underlines, shadows, etc...)
  • A clean transition effect on the navbar, preferably a redesign altogether.
  • #52

Other improvements:

  • Compress images. A lot of images are currently in the .jpg/.png formats, which is considerably causing loading delays.

(will add more if it comes to me :D)

Tasks left to be done

  1. Make navbar and footer responsive
  2. Redesign home page for pc
  3. Make non responsive pages,Β responsive
  4. Adding loaders, changing the vercel icon on theΒ tabΒ thing
  5. Library page

New sprint priority list

Things to do:

  1. Campus facility page
  2. Clubs and associations page
  3. Polishing home page
  4. add actual data to pages
  5. placements page

Side bar bugs

    • Design improvements to home page
  1. Sidebar bugs:
  2. You are able to scroll content when sidebar is open
  3. you are able to expand more than one submenu at once which should be made to one at a time
  4. Design is super basic
  5. Cant click outside the sidebar to close it

Small change requests

  1. Remove management in department section
  2. commerce, arts, languages and non teaching staff should be the order
  3. Remove maria tejaswini from commerce
  4. Add 2 new staff to commerce
